Spirometry Ins & Outs: Michael Callihoo, RRT, CRE, CTE

Spirometry Interpretation: Dr. Cory Yamashita, MD, FRCPC, Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Respirology (Department of Medicine, Western University) at St. Joseph’s Health Care London and a Principal Investigator at the Lawson Health Research Institute.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:

• Emphasize the role of spirometry as an objective measurement of lung disease
• Review the terms and lung function measurements as they apply to spirometry interpretation
• Identify criteria for test acceptability, repeatability and reversibility
• Correctly interpret spirometry examples through case study practice
